I'm Not Sure I'm Going to Make It!

Post by taz3 »

I have an open farmers field behind my house, as well as wooded area, so I went for a walk and found some fawn tracks that appear to be real fresh. It looks like there was a pair of them wondering together, I would have preferred to see them. After my walk, I figured I'd fine tune my shooting. I learnt, if I keep an inch further back I'm able to shoot more accurately, I may try a stock extention. As the title says "I'm not sure I'm going to make it", till the season opens!

Some tracks from the fawns

3 shots with a slight gusty head wind, that only affected my last shot from 35 yards.

One out of three isn't bad . . .you do realize that bottom shot is high and to the right . . .

Looks cold up there. Image My suggestion is to stock up on various types of alcohol, get some knife sharpeners and stay in the house where it's warm, in the recliner, sharpening all of yours and your neighbors knives. At least until it warms up outside.

LOL, I definitely have Excal something, with no known cure!

I survive the cold by stoking the ole wood stove and kick my feet up after the sun goes down with something to sip on. I'm usually fine until I see that target asking to be punished, then I start looking out in the field and before ya know it, I'm back here, looking for support! LOL!!!

IF you are 65 or with a disable permit you can use a crossbow . I'm not that old yet and I won't get a permit.[ personal reasons] But I can use it in Wyoming and Michigan is only 50 min. away so I'll get my hunting in.
