I have always had the STS vibration damper system on the bow (a generous gift from a member on this forum). I added a BowJax Super Maxjax Damper over each of the STS rubber stoppers.
Is my bow quiet, no, but it is certainly not as loud as it was!
Where did you pick up this tentacle wrap and bowjax damper??
I got mine on flea-bay.
God bless,

ELLIS wrote:Bullzeye, couldn't find the wraps in Canada online. Local stores did not have them. Got them from Bowhunters International, Bowhunters Supply Store (Sims Tentacle Insulator Wrap, Black. (LS3407) = $14.99, Bowjax Stabilizer Dampeners 1"Dia., Black. (BJ1051BLK) = $19.98). Had them in less than a week using US mail.
Blackjack, I have had the Bowjax Stabilizer Dampeners on since August. Not sure it they made a difference in the sound or not.... Shoot 3D only, not a hunter. Have put a gazillion arrows through since putting them on. The Sims Tentacle Insulator Wrap and the heat shrink tubing made a noticeable difference instantly!
Cheers.
your onto it.. sounds good mate l'll pinch a couple of those good ideas, my problem as with many of us is its not the dear but the next door neighbors, thats why l like a quite bow, also many of our mates on here test noice on there own..you really need a mate there with you, ok listen to your bow without any silences fitted when your mate is haveing a shot, you only need to stand back not even 10 feet then fit lets say the bowjax onto the S5 you really need to stand back with someone shooting to really hear the diffrence ah, l tinker all the time this way you really do hear what the diffrence is..

MAN!! I went looking for that stuff once when i was rebuilding the bottom end of a engine. It comes in handy when protecting the crank from the threaded end of the connecting rods. I went to the local drug store asking for the rubber tube that hospital use to tie around your arm to draw blood and the looked at me with a weird/shocked look and said "n.n.nnooooo..........we dont have any sir..."
I clued in later that im pretty sure they thought i was a drug addict
