Yea can't wait until September for the deer, Turkey season is only a couple of months away and they are about a dozen gobblers using this same area. I haven't killed anything with the crossbow yet but I'm doing a lot of shooting to get ready.

Nice! They definately like the alfalfa buffet. :)

I have 5 different bucks coming in also 1 decent 8 pointer that should be a shooter this fall. I'm really suprised they still have their antlers it shouldn't be long before they start falling off

I will take a picture of one at home tonight and try and get a picture posted tonight.

It is a Remington Tripod feeder with eye bolts attached to each side under the lid with a chain attached to each eye bolt, this attaches in the center by a D Ring which attaches to the steel cable that I have strung together on a pulley system between 2 trees. It is a very simple design but it is critter proof so far. It is high enough off the ground the bears can't get to it. It is somewhere between 15-18 ft off the ground. I use 100 ft of steel cable to get this done.

Thanks,
Eric

Looks like some great activity :D
To be a vegetarian is to listen to the live carrot gradually screaming as it drowns in a pot of boiling water …. Which is more ethical to you ??

I went to Tractor Supply Friday and got a bag of pellets and a bale of alfalfa hay. Soon as my feeder needs reloading, I'm adding the pellts.
