G'day Dave,

I have a 2011 Equinox with the same three camo patterns. Not a problem as I am having it dipped with non-camo patterns in the near future. Tired of losing the bow after putting it down on the forest floor to retrieve arrows at a 3D tournament.

Cheers,

Bill

I find we have the same problem. Have to watch where we step after walking up to pull arrows.

I like to lean mine against a tree, but it still sometimes takes a moment or two to find it again. I have learned to look for my pink Munch mount. :D

3 camo phases just means parts of the bow were at different stages of production when the change for a new pattern came about.

As for putting your bow on the ground is primitive.
One would think the clubs could install bow hooks somewhere to hang them off the ground. A grand plus in equipment and you have to lay it on the ground. :? :?

The way the camo is "applied" the difference in pattern happens more than you realize because there are varying degrees of not being perfectly matched. Remember it is camo so the pattern is random to be effective. If it were repetitive then it would not be camo. The pattern displayed in papa bear1's bow is probably more effective then most bows.

Years ago when I shot a lot,at big matches you could lose your spotting scope very easily. Everybody has one and alot are the same brand etc. So finding yours in a "crowd" isnt easy. A red bandana, or in the gals case a bright colored ribbon tied in a spot that didnt interfere with function made finding yours an easy chore. I bet it would work on your crossbow as well.

This past season I laid my bow on the ground then dragged my deer 20yds. Went back to get the bow and really had to look hard to find it. Next 20yds. bow was leaned against a tree. May be I need a Clapper on it! LOL

Camo is like wall paper, dye lots vary slightly with every application. We work hard with our suppliers to get consistancy with our camo application but since its a fairly complex process its almost impossible. When packaging crossbows we visually try to get the best match but sometimes they can be off a bit, its the nature of the beast.

I agree but very few clubs we shoot at have bow hangers on their 3D courses. I appreciate the ones that do.
