Excel string with 0.035" Angel Majesty Test

Post by Boo »

I would like 5 testers to endurance test 0.035" Angel Majesty. Below are the requirements;
- supply me with a string in new condition.
- shoot a minimum of 300 shots in 2 weeks
- be able to record and report on the condition as the serving wears using clear photos every 50 shots
- no excuses, I need 300 shots in 3 weeks
- do not rotate your string

When you are done with 300 shots send the string back to me and I will reserve it with a serving of your choice that I have in stock. I will also send back a Dalton 2000 string conditioner as a thank you. It can be any string that you are using on an 200 or 225 lb Excalibur. Your expense will be postage to me.

If you are interested please send me an email.

After thinking about my request I am going to offer a Factory Excel string served with 0.035" Angel Majesty. That will make it easier on everyone involved. It will take me a week or so to get the strings. You can send a string of your choice if you want.
I already have 2 testers. I need 3 more!

I'd like this test as transparent as possible so I need the findings posted on this thread as you go along.

One of my posts was not clear. I will send the string to you with a container of Dalton 2000 so you can use it for the test. It's a full sized container so there will be plenty left for you to use after the test.

I received the strings from Danny and put them on a rack to stretch. I hope to have them done before the end of this weekend.

Re: Excel string with 0.035" Angel Majesty Test

Post by Boo »

Let me first start off saying that this test is not for me. I want to see if this serving is better than the current material used on the standard stock string. Currently 0.026" Angel Majesty is being used. The test serving is 0.035" Angel Majesty and is very very expensive. That been said between the strings, postage, serving material and my time my part of the test comes at a high price so please complete this test and show your results. I have 11 Excel strings served with the test material.
Record and report on the condition as the serving wears using clear photos every 50 shots and do not rotate your string. Please use the Dalton wax to lube the serving every 50 shots.
Please report on this thread.
The main point of the test is that there are still people experiencing serving separation and I am hoping this the fix.
For everyone's information when I first got the strings from Danny they were the usual 3/8" above the highest mark. After 2 days on the stretching jig they were at or below the highest line. The second set took 1 day (more tension).
When you get the string make sure you put on about 5 full twists on them and start shooting.
If your string was not an Excel string I do not want you to go and shoot 300 shots. Please use it as you normally do and just report if your serving separates.
