Post by CAPGUN »

Was at Gagnons today and bought a new string. A Boo string , Hope it is the real deal . And any advice on how to keep it in good shape . Do they stretch much ?

The break in period is short, so not much stretch. Just keep shooting it and give it a bit of wax now and then.

I believe that Boo deals with Gagnon Sports as I've seen him reffer to them on a few occasions, so I'd say it's the real deal yes.

A Boo string will settle in quicker, shoot faster, and have less stretch than the standard excal flemish string. You will be happy with it. Just keep the wax to it regularly and it will last a long time. Unless you've picked up a chinese boo copy that is  .
It has less stretch than standard so it won't be as forgiving if you dryfire it.

It does show on Gagnons website that he sells boo's strings, but I heard there was a year waiting list to get a Boo string so it is strange that you can just go buy one at this store. Maybe Boo has a speacial deal with them, hopefully he will chime in, if they are available I may buy one myself since I have little patience to wait a year lol

If someone orders a string and bails on me I sell them to Gagnons in Oshawa. I just dropped off 4 of them a week and a half ago.

I would take another one myself if someone bailed on you.

Thanks that is good to know , They had four on hand to sell . The sales person was great to deal with most helpfull . But when you by a string and it has no tag or anything to identify it as a BOO string it can make you a bit sceptical . I took the nice Blue an Red one . Thanks all

Oh and to set something straight this TROLL crap has been done to death , I have seen it on other forums as well . Nice way to tick off new people who are seeking more info and knowledge . I have been out of the bow hunting thing for a long time and it is nice to draw from other like minds . So trust me anyone trolling on this forum who is truly not interested would find it as interesting as watching paint dry . And the ones who make the TROLL comments show they are realy not inteligent enough to make informative comments . My Opinion, Kevin
