Great day in the woods!

Post by Hoagy »

Last sunday I tagged along with my Son & Grandson to hunt sheds. My Son headed for the really thick cedars so Bub, my grandson, & I kinda walked the fringes & it wasn't long & he found a turkey feather & promptly informed me what it was & asked if I would carry it for him as he had his gun (a toy gun which makes a sound like a rifle shot) later as he was tiring out he handed his gun to me also.
When my Son appeared we took a break then headed back to the vehicle but Bub insisted his dad carry him as he was wore out.
When we arrived back at the house he grabbed his turkey feather, his gun & the one antler his dad found & headed to the door to proudly show his mother the finds of the day. As he approached the door he stopped & turned to me & said "thanks for all your help today granpa!" Oh yeah, forgot to mention Bub is only 3 1/2yrs old. I couldn't have been happier at that moment.
As I said, what a great day in the woods!!!!!!

Just 'cause that's the way she is now, doesn't mean that's the way that it's got to be. Rome wasn't built in a day. Keep racking that old brain of yours to come up with things that would interest her and ways to get her in the woods with pawpaw.
