scope problem

exocet 200 vari zone scope
I think its the scope but need help,shoot a 20yds shot is low and left, make adjustments shoot moves way more than it should or not at all,scope is tight nothing loose,Kathys bow my old exocet any adjustment is right on! Thanks for the help. If its the scope what should i replace it with and i know thats a loaded question!!

Sounds like the scope to me...send it back to excalibur as a warranty issue. :(

put new scope on will try tomoro night if weather holds and will be gun hunting in morning to get Kathy her first and if get bow sighted in early then will try bow later on in week. Thanks for the help!

Some scopes (no matter the type) can be a little tight on the inside. You can make an adjustment on the dials, but it won't really "take" on the inside on the crosshairs until the jolt/jar/shock of a shot/discharge. The way to get around this is after you make an adjustment, just give a tap or two on the scope to jar it a little to settle everything in on the inside. The pocket knife I carry is a Gerber and has rubber inlays on each side of the handle. After I make an adjustment on a scope, I'll give the barrel of the scope a couple of taps with the handle of the knife to make sure everything settles where it's supposed to on the inside. :wink:

BUT...... If your scope is truly messed up, there's not much you can do about it except replace it. :wink:

well got new scope on and sighted in today,took first shot then another before making any adjustments,after adjustment i taped the scope and took a shot fallowed by another and it seemed to move by the second shot and when i kept hitting the same spot i called it a day.all shots were at 20yds. thanks for the help!

I think what he is saying is that he tapped the scope as per 58's instructions from a post above.

Ohhhh lol ok, makes sense now, I was not making fun of the spelling, but I read a post not long ago mentioning the exact same thing and could not for the life of me figure out what had to be taped, I thought there was some new trick I did not know lol
