another one bites the dust

Post by masboy »

well I got another gobbler this morning not far from my home he was bigger than my last one and had a long beard and nice spurs .been seeing lots of turkeys and hearing lots of gobbles the last few days. went up on top of a ridge where I heard turkeys yesterday all around me an made some soft clucks an purs on my slate and a few soft yelps on my mouth call then I heard turkeys wings flapping behind me then some soft purs real close then a hen came out in front of me and then flew across the tower line . then a nice gobbler came out 20yds in front of me and went behind some tall grass so I raised my gun waiting for him to walk out where I could see him and he took of flying to where the hen went butdid notmake it . I pulled up and swung past his head with a 2oz load of 4s and he droped like a rock . I still get to hunt in Maryland so going back there in the morning an see if I can get one with my bow.
