Axiom scope
From what I understand the reticles on the Axiom are not adjustable like each one is in the varizone scope. So, where do the 30, 40 and 50 reticles hit at these yardages???? Thanks!!!!

Re: Axiom scope
The axiom scope is factory set using 150gr heads from what i understand. If you use 150's you should be good at 30/40yds once you sight in at 20.
If you use 125gr's you should still be close. Hope this help's.

Re: Axiom scope
The guys are right ,With the Fire bolts and 150 grains pts. ,the marks are almost perfect . I have been shooting 110grain heavier arrows , I re zeroed in 1 in. high at 20 yards and the 50 yard mark is only 1- 2 inches low . So I can hold right on at 30 and 40 yards.

Its comes with the excell i think so thats a starting point..
you just have to shoot it and find if you need to hold high or low .

Re: Axiom scope
On my axiom with the stock string it was shooting a bit low at 30, 40 and 50, but with the flemish string its dead on the mark at 20 30 40 50
Re: Axiom scope
Thanks for alll of the replies. I wonder if using a 100 gr broadhead while using the excel string, would it hit dead on?????

Re: Axiom scope
Sorry to hi-jack this thread.
With the axiom scope I'm dead on when using my 150 gr field tips at 20, 30 and 40, but when I us my 150gr bolt cutters I'm dead on at 20, but low at 30 and even lower at 40 yrds. I'm new to crossbow hunting, so what can I to do to bring everything in line?
thanks
Rob

Re: Axiom scope
I'm dead nutz on out to 50yds shooting poi to my fieldtips using slick tricks.
Their suppose to be coming out with a 150gr version very soon...give them a try.
You can also upgrade your scope to a varizone with the adjustable speed ring.
You can also try using the excal fff string, you should pick up 10-12fps with this string but be careful of a dryfire...no give in the faster strings!

Re: Axiom scope
I'm using 125gr slick standards out of my vixen, 125gr slick mags out of my vortex, both bows have a viper-x string on them.lswoody wrote:Which slick tricks are you using and what grain?????georgiaboy wrote:I'm dead nutz on out to 50yds shooting poi to my fieldtips using slick tricks.

Re: Axiom scope
I will try the flemish string and see what happens. I was thinking it was something wrong with the scope. Why would field tips and blades of the same gr fly differently? I'm new to the world of crossbows, so I have a ton to learn!
Thanks
