Holiday Turkey

Post by Bowster »

Decided to spend the hot temperatures sitting in the shade of the bush yesterday afternoon and found this guy wandering past me at 20 yards. A blast of 3" Winchester #5's out of my Mossberg 535 sealed the deal.

Only 16lbs, 4 oz but had 1" spurs and 10 3/8 beard.

Thanks all.....

Hot yes......but better than doing more landscaping work at home.

Figured if I was looking for the shade in the bush, Mr. Tom might be thinking the same.

First time successful in the evening, 5:00.

It surely paid off to spend some time out in the heat! Congrats on a nice turkey there. :)
