Anyone else fired up for deer yet?

Post by subneural »

I don't know what has come over me. We are barely into June - bass season isn't even open yet - and I find myself already looking longingly at the month of October on the calendar (the bow opener here in Ontario).

Is it just me? Am I the only crazy one here? Is there a cure for this? :D

Just occurred to me this morning that bow season starts in less than 4 months. Sausage and cube steak are mostly gone. Still enough hamburger and roasts to cruise till that first batch is ready for the freezer.

That is some sage advice - thanks everyone. I am going to try a dose of 3D archery. Hopefully that will relieve my symptoms, at least temporarily.

Yep. Been shooting the xbows about every evening. Tested my climbing
harness yesterday and ladder stand. Ordered a new hang on stand and
sticks last week, also ordered a new device to add additional safety
when climbing up my ladders or sticks.
I figured since it wasn't too hot yet I'd better get outside and
check everything before the mid 90s and high humidity sets in.

i am counting the days to the opener here in michigan on october 1st. will be traveling to the upper peninsula to hunt with the knife maker himself(dagriz). he has been asking me to come up for a couple of years now but the timming just was not right. but its going to happen this year!
most of us know what kind of person he is and he has even offered to drive down and pick me up cuz i am disabled and cannot drive, an awesome offer being i live about 7 hours drive one way from him! i have not decided if i will allow him to do this tho,i have plenty of time to think this over.i am really looking forward to hunting a different area with a good friend.my hunting here at home has really went sour the past few years and darrel is already sending me pictures of antlers sprouting. so for me this year, october cannot get here fast enough
