Hi, new member

Post by hunt2sleep »

Hi, I've been lurking on and off for about four years so I figured it was time to go ahead and join. I first came to this forum when LA legalized crossbows for all hunters in 2008. I researched crossbows a lot when I was younger and knew that I wanted to get an Excalibur if they were ever allowed here. I spent a few weeks intensively reading on this forum and ultimately chose to buy a Phoenix. For various reasons, the only year I have hunted with my Phoenix was 2009. Below you can see the doe I killed that year. I've been practicing for a few weeks now and am ready to hunt with my crossbow again this year as much as being a full time student will allow me. Anyways, I just wanted to say what an amazing resource this forum has been for me and I look forward to more actively participating in the future.

Think you could have made a better shot on that doe? Bet that blood trail wasn't much of a challenge. :)

Used to do a lot of work in SE Texas and SW LA. Always wanted to bring back a bushel of crawfish but they were always out of season. :?
