Welcome to the forum!

Not sure of the answer, but I've never noticed any difference in sound from any of my Excals.
Hopefully one of the trigger experts will chime in and answer your question.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new Vortex...I love mine too. :)

Not sure about the sound you are hearing? Maybe take the string off and see if anything is loose. Go over all the screws and make sure they are tight.

Sure your brace highth is between the lines. Maybe string is slapping the riser. Make sure you have some twists in your string to get it back from riser. Best maybe call Excalipur as they are the warrenty depo.

Sound is after the shot n its a clunk, Riser slap has been advised. Also ck yer Riser bolts into rail & go over every bolt n screw even on yer scope & ring mounts

Welcome to the forum, love the Vortex

I really know nothing about triggers and am totally
guessing here, but could something be sticking inside the trigger unit

After you take your shot try slapping the trigger a few times and listen for the sound.

I would get a hold of Excalipur or PM Boo to see
what he thinks.

Good luck, hope it works out for you.

Make sure your limb tips are still glued in as well.
If you don't find anything don't perform any surgery until you talk to Danny Miller assuming you are in the US. Danny will be back Wed or Thurs from vacation. Danny is the US warranty rep. His number is 740 483 2312.
It sounds to me the 2 bolts holding the riser to the main frame/rail is not quite tight enough.
