Beautiful Knife for Beautiful lady

Post by DaGriz »

My wife is in Brussells, Belgium visiting our son and family, spending quality time with new grandson and also granddaughter She gets back the day before our anniversary. Racked my feeble brain trying to come up with an idea for something special, as a gift for her. Couldn't think of anything good enough to be worthy.

I was working in my knife making shop and decided I would make a small unique knife for her. Found a piece of Damascus than has a very different and nice pattern. Now I had to find that special wood. Her favorite color is purple and finding any fancy purple heart wood is ridiculous . But as luck may have it, I dug around in all my fancy wood I found a piece I thought will work Here's the end result
I would appreciate any comments , good or bad!

Absolutely beautiful but then that is from a DaGriz fan so I may not be the most impartial. So I showed it to my wife to get a woman's opinion and she thought it was "stunning". Of course she then asked if she could expect to see it show up in the mail and unfortunately I had to tell her it was already spoken for.

I think you should be in good shape :) There is nothing like a gift from the heart and you can sure see the love in this one.

Darrel,
That is a very beautiful knife. Your wife will be happy with that. Did you make her case to go with it? Is that like a small spam knife, a parring knife or something like that? Something a women could use to peel potatoes and an all around small spam knife? It is something she could carry with her on a camping or fishing trip also to call her own. That has got me to thinking our anniversary is coming up on the 29th of September, something like that would surprise her I think. Some of her very own. Hmmmm, I must send you a PM Darrel.
Thanks,
Raymond
