2219 and brass inserts

The secret handshake.
20" 2219, 110 grain .300 OD brass insert, (I know it is .005 undersize for a 2219)
4" fletch with a strong right hand helical.
Lumenok nock.

One inch groups off of a bench @ 50 yards with target points and ST broadheads @ the same POI for each weight (100 and 125)
This is not from my bow @ 225#. It is from a friends bow @ 200#.
I have built some for my bow but have not tested them yet.
This guy was a pro and is in Pope and Young twice. He is very good. I can only take credit for introducing him to Excalibur. The shooting was done off a bench at my house.
His results are just too good not to pass on. I wish we could find brass inserts made for a 2219 shaft. A 2219 in this configuration with a 100 head is around 550 grains.

I get about the same results from my vortex with 2114 and 2117 with the 110gr brass inserts and they fit both shafts well and also in a 2216 but were a little lose and came out easy . mine also shoots 100 gr and 125 gr field points to the same poi as the same weight broadheads. my best 2114s did not shoot as good from my equinox as they did from my vortex and I don,t know about the 2117 from my equinox because I never shot them in it. my equinox shoots great with the gt lazier 11 with the brass inserts and if I hadn,t give it to my son I would be useing the 2219 with the brass inserts for my target shooting and hunting . should be a deadly acurrate combo!

thanks for the post, i have a couple a friend gave me but they felt to sloppy and was afraid to try it, think i will give it a try now since it seems to work. I`ve been using hortons heavy 70 gr.(.304) and the inserts fit pretty good, shoot good around
2.5 inch at 50 yrds ,125gr field points,3 to 4inch with ABC steelsonics, 2inch blazers bolt arms, i no these are logs but more foc might be better!
