Inconsistency consistently. Rookie mistake.

Post by JB2010 »

Just in case there is someone else doing what I did--- I couldn't find flat nock arrows so I bought arrows with half moon nocks instead. They had always done fine you just put the odd color down. Even now at 20yards they all do fine. However, over 20 yards they fly high right over and over again. The few I have with flat nocks fly perfect. What changed... Boo string.
I spoke with him (Boo) today and he confirmed that with his string v/s a factory string you have to use flat nocks. I thought I was having another scope problem. I'm sure all the veterans know this info but for anyone out there like myself... Hope it helps.

With a small difference in thickness of strings/serving, the point of contact with the shaped moon nock can differ and affect the arrow leaving the rail. Good advice, flat is the way to go.
