I have two Boo strings

One settled quickly and one seemed to take forever

But it did eventually settle in just fine.

The string creep is caused by the wax between strands and the fibers that make up the strands. Various colours come with more wax between the strands than others. When I am making a string I pull the strands through a mix of rosin and bee's wax so different temperatures cause stands to pick up more than others. I try to reduce the wax by putting the string on a stretching rack can keep tightening the string as it loosens over a few days to a week.
Creep is an unfortunate characteristic of a Flemish string and in higher temperatures you get more creep but your string should stop creeping soon assuming this heat wave doesn't get worse.

I think it's good to bring questions like this up. It applies to all strings and is likely a question that often comes by those who might be too shy to ask.
