Welcome to the forum Dano and have fun with that new Eclipse.

You say you've been in law enforcement for quite some time...did your partner(s) ever say "Book em Dano!!" Sorry man, had to ask!

Awshucks, my buddy told me to get a stringer, so I ordered one with the bow;
along with 6 bolts, 12 150gr field points, 3 150 gr Bolt Cutter broad heads,
some wax, a Flemish Dyna Flight string and a case. The package has the S5
system attached, Shadow Zone scope and a string cocker.
I want to get at least 12 more of the same Firebolt Carbon bolts and 6 of the
same broad heads. Also on my list is a Bushnell ARC Bow range finder and a
good blind. (years ago I found that falling out of the sky, not of my own
volition, has me just a tad leary of heights) I'd just as soon keep my feet on
mother earth whenever possible.

That's how I got the name. Name's Daniel, but so many
gave me the "Book'em Dano" line that it just came to be. Even my wife
calls me Dano.

I had to google the Bushnell arc rangefinder, lol. Wow, they are proud of those things.

I use the cheapest Bushnell they sell, less than $150 and it does it all. Use the $ saved on a Morrell bag target and a Rinehart 18-1 for bheads. No, there's no 'one does it all' at least not that I'm aware of. I've been through ll the layered foam, btw.

Happy Hunting!

p.s where are you? You can fill out a tad of info in your profile and your locale will be under your name, fwiw..........

Eastern end of the TN Plateau, northwest of Knoxville
about 60 miles. Got my Degree at UT Knoxville.
I'll fill in my profile first chance I get. Got a family
reunion to go to today that I totally forgot about
until just a few minutes ago. I won't be there
1 second past what I just absolutely have to be.
You can bet on that. Not that I don't want to see
them all, I just don't like standing around in
95 degree, East TN humidity to do it.
Later,

Here's my new Eclipse XT.

BTW: I forgot all about the reunion  Got busy
watching the video and putting the Excal together.
Wife had to run up to the jail (she's a Magistrate and
Juvenile Probation Officer) and by the time she got
back, I was 3/4th the way done and just totally
forgot. I'll catch he!! over it from some, but I'm
getting forgetfull (read "selective memory") in my old
age. 8) Been practicing cocking and decocking.
Got the string waxed per the video.
Gotta get me a bag target and get it sighted in.
What about the Morrell Yellow Jacket crossbow
bag target? Found one of them for $60.

Welcome to the world of horizontal archery and this site. My tour was back in 64-65 (my how time flies) medic, 85th Evac Hosp Qui Nhon. Those certainly were the days I'll never forget.

Try and get $5 or $10 off the Morrell, they are made here in Ar. Best production bag I've found. The 18-1 self seals where your bheads hit, lasts a lifetime for most shooters. Don't just assume you will be hitting same poi w/ bheads going from field points either .......

If you haven't done so yet, tear the bow down and blue loctite the trigger screws, 4 little mount screws and the stock and stirrup screws w/ blue/purple loctite.

Don't cut an allen wrench down to get at the back screw hole in rail, regular one fits thru threaded hole [for loctiting trigger] Yup, BTDT
