S5 System Help

Picked up 2 at huntfest and had no idea that they will not fit anything older then 2003! Why will they not work or do i need to modify,only have the problem with the one for the exocet that i bought new in 2002.

Next to to walk on your post but what if you would like the S5 system and your bows are older is there another S5 system we can buy ?
