Vortex question

Post by Gamikatsu »

I have a guy, that i'm helping over the internet to get his vortex set up. he is asking how fast he might be shooting... his setup.

vortex (bone stock)
stock string
firebolt
bolt cutters

i'm thinking... roughly 290-300 fps with this setup?

I work backwards from 330 fps. The arrows are 268 gr + 150 = 418 gr - 350 gr = 68 gr/5 =say 14 fps, add another 10 fps for the Excel string= 306 fps..........

Check out the section to the left entitled "Arrow Performance" and you'll find speed listings for different bow, string, arrow, and tip weight combinations.
