Looks like we'll make the amount necessary for him to get the new stand, but he still needs a better locking system!
Remember - NO AMOUNT IS TOO SMALL! (and it's a great chance to get entered in the drawing for some very nice prizes!)

I'm new to crossbows, bought a Vorxex this spring and would hate to be with out a stand. Too bad we have hunters who would steal from another among us. Check will be mailed out tommorow for Vixenmaster.

Way to go folks, we are heading in the right direction!
Now it's up to Vixenmaster and the Dark Lady to knock down one of those record breaking Missouri Whitetails We will expect some pics. Just 25 more days to go.

Re: re THEFT - let's help out again
I think all of us here on the forum understand the excitement of opening day!
I know at my age (61 for a couple more months) the aches, pains, and worries seem to be a constant companion.
But on opening morning, perched in the ladder stand (or setting in the ground blind if the weather forces to seek shelter) those aches, pains, and worries are forgotten for a few hours!
The frustrations of every day life are pushed aside and all that matters is that primal instinct of hunting for food to sustain life.
I am no longer "Mike the plumber", but "wabi the hunter" (from my Shawnee ancestry) for a few hours.
Then the hunt ends, the aches, pains, and worries return, and I'm civilized again.
Wouldn't want anyone to have to miss the opener because some low-life thief stole his stand!
I know what it's like to be struggling to keep the bills paid and put food on the table. Seems like every addition to the sporting goods collection is a result of hard work and careful planning, then some worthless thief takes part of that away and it means all those dreams and plans are ruined.
Just couldn't set back and see it happen to a fellow forum member who we've got to know for his generosity and good common sense.
The funds to replace the stand (and his dreams of killing those big bucks while perched in it) seem so easy to come up with if we all just kick in what we can afford.
The dollar amount donated isn't nearly as important as the willingness to give (if we have it) to see someone "keep the dream alive"!
OK - off the soapbox and back to planning for my day in the "real world" tomorrow.
Got to change out a few sets of faucets, and crawl under a house to run some water lines so I'm sure those aches, pains, and worries will be my companion again.
Sure looking forward to opening day here!!!!!!!!!!

Wish I was a plummer, only need to know 3 things to be a plummer.
1- If sh*t flows down hill you did it right.
2- Cold water on the right.
3- Payday on Friday.

Sadly I'm self-employed, so the Friday payday doesn't apply. It's whenever you can track 'em down and collect and some of them are hard to track.wheelie wrote:Wish I was a plummer, only need to know 3 things to be a plummer.

(actually, I have very little problem with non-payment )

Re: re THEFT - let's help out again
UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!
Just wanted to say thanks for all that have donated and let everyone know we've now exceeded our goal of $250. to get vixenmaster his new stand!
I will contact him and offer to forward enough so he can get the stand ordered.
I know more donations are coming my way in the mail, so I'll forward the balance in the fund to him and hold the prize drawing on Sept. 15 as promised earlier.
If anyone wants to add to the contributions I'm asking it be done by Sept. 1, so I'll have plenty of time to receive any mail before the drawing date. I also have to deposit any checks received in my checking account then transfer the money to PayPal to send to him and that can take close to a week sometimes.
