Flemish Dyna Flight ravel

Post by mailman1194 »

I just restrung my Axiom with a new Flemish Dyna Flight after realizing my serving on factory string came apart. Any reasons why it came apart? 2. my new flemish string where it is wound at the ends and tied are unraveling. ANY SUGGESTIONS on what to do or is this normal? I'm new to xbows and to the form.THANKS!!

Welcome to the forum!!! :D :D
The excal fff string becomes " unraveled " at the ends...makes a mini cat whisker.
Just to be safe if you can post a pic.

Welcome to the forum Mailman

Make sure you are twisting the string in the right direction. If your brace height is to low you will get a lot of string slap. Some fraying on the ends is normal

No expert here just some suggestions.

If it looks like you have mini cats whiskers, that is normal. If it comes apart that means you didnt twist it enough before you put it on.Boo twists his and ties 'em so they wont come apart. Excal flemish strings have to be "twisted up". (Thats a quote from Danny).Twisting keeps 'em from coming undone when they get pressure on 'em.

I have 5 FFF strings and every one of them has mini whiskers. Keep serving them as required and they all work fine. They did creep a lot when new. Only way I can imagine it unravelling is if it was twisted wrong way.
