When I was into building my own trail cameras, I used to see many pictures like this and it is difficult to tell. What you need to do is look for distinct marking which are in the open and can not be shadows. When you look at the shape of the body, antlers and the like, I have come to the conclusion that it is the same buck.vixenmaster wrote:It maybe the same Buck, but the hard antlered one has picked up 12 to 15 lbs in 10 days. Ck out the ribs on both Bucks the velvet is bad gaunt ribs showin alot!
I have seen camera pictures of a buck that went from full velvet to clean bone in less then 4 hours. This buck had an unusual marking on one shoulder which made it easy to identify. Also when they are in velvet, a lot of their energy goes into growing the antlers, when they are hard bone, they use those energies to put on weight and get ready for the rut and winter.
Seven days and I believe that would be right between pictures. If it is a different deer, then it would be a twin.
