Vixenmaster fund prize drawing!!!!!!!!!!

Post by wabi »

Since the mail has run today and the deadline for donations has passed I held the drawing for the prizes to be given to the few lucky members who donated to the vixenmaster stand replacement fund.

I kept a database of members and the donations as they came in with each person being assigned a number as they were entered into my database.
Today I printed pieces of paper with the numbers then took out the few who did not wish to be in the drawing. Of those "eligable" numbers I placed then in a "hat" (actually a plastic bowl) and had my son draw 6 numbers.
Those 6 then went back into the bowl and I made a list of prizes.
I started at the top and had him draw one number for each prize as we went down the list.

AND THE WINNERS ARE:

DaGriz knife (from DaGriz) - #37 - tman74

Dash string (from Dash) - #14 - newbie

GP quiver mount (from vixenmaster) - #5 - Chris Rabe

String jig (from munch) - #7 - Allan Lambert

Deer call (from wabi) - #20 - HIGHBOW

Shooting sticks (from bob watson) - #15 - Cryon

Sorry, I didn't have the forum "handle" for a couple winners and had to post your real name.
Also the winner (Allan Lambert) of the munch string jig will have to wait a couple weeks (I think) for munch to return from his hunt.

The winners of each prize will need to PM (or email) the donor of the prize they won to arrange delivery!

edited to add:
Would the winners please PM or email me so I'll know you read this thread.

(newbie, HIGHBOW, & tman74 - I see you replied, so you heard the good news)

And a special thanks to Big John for his help in collecting donations north of the border and sending them to me through PayPal!

It's a real problem for me to get funds from Canada since my small hometown bank refuses to cash international money orders anymore.
I'm pretty well limited to PayPal, US currency, or Postal money orders in US dollars and the last two postal money orders I cashed at the post office required me to wait while they read the handbook.

Wow, I can't believe it, after the luck we have been having today this was a total surprise. :D

We have not seen a drop of rain for months but today when we were trying to put up a couple deeer stands, it will not stop raining. In the process we got soaked, lost two wrenches, a ratchet, burned up a saws all and in the end we had to abandon the stand and head for higher and drier ground. Needless to say the planned bow hunting this evening is shot as my brother ran out of dry clothes and we had to make the 2 hr drive back to the house.

Anyway, thanks to everyone who pitched in for such a worthy cause and especially Wabi for all the work involved in putting this together. I figure Vixenmaster is probably much better prepared that we were today and I can't wait to see the results. Good Luck Vix, give'm hell.
