Sighting in

If I sight my crossbow scope in at 20 yards,and want to shoot a target at 10yards,would my scope cross hairs be accurate,or would I have to compensate and hold the scope cross hairs a little lower?Hope you can understand my question.Same as using sight pins on a compound bow.Each pin is set at a determined yardage and you either raise the bow up or down depending on which pin for each yardage.
