Congrats Stan! I love it when they fall over like that . . .I think the act of falling surprises them too, they look all poised and alert and then flop.

Only 11 more to go . . .better get back out there. :)

I'm a little late to the party, but CONGRATS STAN!!! :D Any deer taken legally and ethically is a trophy! Especially when it's taken with one of the finest bows ever built! :wink:

I've been battling the mosquitos, deer ticks, and no-see-ums, and my arms, neck, back, and sides are full of bites. People have been telling me I'm crazy for hunting in all of this hot weather. But 2 things are certain, 1) you can't kill'em sitting on the couch; 2) I've gotten 2 out of the way and only have 2 more to go to tag out....... before freezing cold weather sets in. :mrgreen:

Congrats again man! That one should be some really good eating! Knowing how you are about recipes, I'll have to dig you a good one up for some of the backstrap. :wink:

please do im always up for good recipes...it'll be hard to top that turk leg soup :lol:
on that subjet ..my wife cooked some backstrap from one of em i got last season..it was the best i have ever eaten..
hockey puck sized slices
she marinated it in some cheapo italian salad dressing over night..then rinsed it off(but left a just a little on)
then pan fried it in olive oil
she said she let the blood form on the top then turned em and when the blood come up again then started dissapearing she pulled em out ..
i love that woman :D
