My Thanksgiving deer
Morning started off with deer walking behind me before legal shooting time . Decide to take a picture of one of the shooting areas .
Well about 7:45 four deer came wandering towards that opening . Two were in the clearing and the other two held back . Well they were spooked by something and started back from where they came from . I shot the last doe to think about leaving . She maybe went 75-100 yards leaving at the end a very good bloodtrail .
I shot her with one of the cancer tribute arrows .
Trouble with shooting anything for us is the haul out . But I`ll manage .
The last section we could use the cart . With all this problems with tainted meats we decided to go get our organic meat and bring it home on the redneck shopping cart .
What I want to give thanks for is for Dad taking me and my brother out in the great outdoors as kids . I got to share the whole thing with Dad .

At least that cart gets a lot of use Congrats
To be a vegetarian is to listen to the live carrot gradually screaming as it drowns in a pot of boiling water …. Which is more ethical to you ??

Re: My Thanksgiving deer
The turkey was already cooking . So the Mud veins will be cooked later .
The cart was helpful once we could get to it . They don`t float well in mud . The drag was only 3-4 hundred yards .

4-500 is my normal drag home, that small deer I got last year seemed like it was 10 times the size 1/4 of my way back.Doe Master wrote:The turkey was already cooking . So the Mud veins will be cooked later .

Its always nice to fill an extra tag early. Takes the pressure off the rest of the seaon. Good shooting!

Nice little doe Kevin. Way to go and that's something great to be thankful for!
