That's made by one of our own forum members, Mike. He goes by username agingcrossbower, and he's made quite a few stocks for people here. Very talented!

Well..... this could take a while. Being a natural born TEXAN!!!! I never thought about anything other than one of the 225 lb. bows.( they sell the other bows at "Bow Toys R Us" down here) The Exomax seemed like a bargain because it gets the same velocity at a somewhat lower price than an Equinox , so that was what I started with.I have been and still am lovin' on the Max! It shoots great,is fast, and has always been just what I thought I was getting.
Next my son Colton wanted a crossbow like dads. (He was nine at the time) I didnt want to get him some junk that would stay broken or hurt him, so "Santa" got him a VixenII for Christmas. It has always preformed perfectly and shoots extremely well.Right now a friend of mine who is set for Dec. shoulder surgery has borrowed it to be able to hunt with this archery season.
Then a while back, I decided I had to have a carved tip model just to see what all the hoop-la was about.I searched e-bay for about six months before I found one that I thought was in good shape but still a reasonable price. (this one was really a bargain) It is an Exocet 165 lb. model that is in very nice shape. It is not anywhere near mint or new but only a few small honest use marks.I used it all of spring turkey season and harvested a nice tom and had a ball shooting the older, lighter feeling bow.
Recently I got an older carved tip Exomag ( I guess this means it is a 185 lb. bow)to go along with the Exocet and am enjoying playing with it at the target bag.It to shoots very well. As a side note it came with a dozen aluminum arrows with a solid(no hole)aluminum nock. I had never shot aluminum arrows in any of my crossbows and never seen any of the solid aluminum nocks. They seem to shoot great and are more "period correct" for the bow.
All the Excalibur bows I have are "shooters", and are only limited by me and my ability. Any will do the job on anything that I will ever hunt, but I usually seem to grab the 'Max when I head to the lease to hunt. Its the stand by, and until it wrinkles its cape the first time , I'm still going to believe its superman.
With that being said, I dont think you can pick a bad one.
