D Bars/S5 fps Question

Post by Migabby »

I have ordered an S5 kit for my VixenII. New Vixens are coming without Dbars, mine howerever, 2009, has them. If I leave them on is there a problem? If I take them off do I gain any fps? Does the sound suppression increase with both?

There should be no difference in FPS, since the bars and pads have no effect on the limbs/string until after the bow shot cycle is essentially completed. as far as leaving the bars on? i would. they may add a little bit of weight, but i imagine if it makes your bow 1% quieter, its worth it to me.

Some folks like to take the d-bars off to save a little weight up front. I left mine on when I installed the S5's on my Vortex. You will need to swap out some of the hardware if you decide to remove them. :)
