I have a feed pile behind my home in a small woodlot it is situated in a bowl shaped depression ,I sit in a knee deep hole with brush at my back.
last night after work a had about an hour before dark and decided to get a quick hunt in, well walking in I kick off 4 deer off the feed 3 go to the right and one goes left all are over the rim of the bowl and out of site in a flash that is the most deer I have ever seen here in 10 years !
Well I sit down and 10 minuets go buy and I here the deer that ran to the left behind me coming back out of the corner of my left eye I see it is a buck but it is behind my left shoulder coming straight to me on alert but curious he comes to within 6 feet of me staring the whole time but I can not got get my head down or get my bow that far left
after a bit he relaxes and I get my eye to the scope in ultra slow motion and need him to take a few steps forward so I can fire but he spooks and bolts away but only about eight leaps now I have a very narrow shooting lane with a heavy quartering away shot but only about 16 yards I let fly 
The deer is over the rim of the bowl in a flash and my luminock is glowing at me I give him an hour before looking and found him right away short recovery The bolt enters at the last rib and exits between the neck and shoulder blade .
