Quiver Mounts

Post by Dayelight »

Im looking at getting a munch mount I wanted to get a few opinions before hand if anyone has one mounted on their bow.
I know there is Wyvern, Munch, and Groundpounder (who doesn't make them anymore).
Is it easy to cock and load bolts?
The placement seems like it might be somewhat difficult to get your hands in to load bolts or cock it.
Im not trying to offend anyone or talk down on their creations. I would just like some input so i can buy what is going to work best for me. I already have the money uploaded on my paypal to get a munch but I thought Id ask first.

BTW the poll is irrelevant. Just having some fun and trying to answer the age old question.
Let me know if your answer isnt there or you would like to have it added in.

Thanks,
Jesse

There is also the "Danny Miller" over bow quiver mount. Bill T. used it on his bow in the elephant video. They are nice mounts and are the bargain of those you mentioned. Just a thought.

I have the Danny Miller mount on my equinox. It's so much better than the factory mount. Holds the bolts across the top of bow, completely out of the way. You can also carry your bow on a sling without damaging the fletchings on your bolts.

"Groundpounder mount" and a "Munch mount light with groundpounder posts". Another "Munch mount deluxe" with no crossbow for it.

When a chuck down chucks he chucks wood too. It's just a little less recognizable! 8)

I have a Munch Mount Lite on my Axiom & am very happy with it. Loading a bolt is no problem with or without the quiver attached, however I hunt from a blind & remove the quiver to set up for shooting.
Does anyone have a picture of the "Miller Mount"? Just curious as to how it mounts. Thanks, Hoagy

You can mount it on either dove tail on your riser so if your right or left handed its easy to load.

Bonus is that it still leaves room for a level to be mounted on the other side. I will take a picture tonight and post it to show you.
Thanks auto11, that was quick. Hoagy

I have a ground pounder and my son has the Munch. Both great mounts and don"t get in the way.

I made a mount in 2008 before I ever saw a Wyvern. I like mine, I would go with the Wyvern mount

Be careful when you are mounting the Miller quiver mount on the powder coated rails (or whatever the heck they are coated with) of the Equinox, Exomax and Eclipse. There is a larger bracket for the front peep to use on these that would work for Danny's quiver bracket, but over time the the paint breaks down and the bracket is kind of loose. Other thing you can do is carefully file off the coating on the dovetail and use the regular bracket. Tends to be tighter and will stay that way. I tried to put mine on my Eclipse without doing the coating removal and ended up with couple extra shiny spots that I didn't really want.... Danny tried to console me and said it doesn't effect the way the bow works....just gives it some character!
