What type of rain gear do you carry with you?

Myself: Wal-Mart plastic camo poncho. One Piece. Easy to fold into a tight-small package. Easy to put on during rain. 100% waterproof. Can cover crossbow in rain.

Usually don't carry anything. I watch the forecast and if it requires raingear I usually stay home. If it's only a low probability I carry a lightweight nylon jacket.

Made the mistake of arrowing one just before a downpour several years ago and it was not a pleasant recovery. Blood trail was washed away quickly and I had to keep pushing the deer to have any chance of recovery. Finally managed to get a second arrow into it while it was bedded and still had to push it another 150 yards (and 2 flooded creek crossings) until it went down for good.
If I'd had the luxury of backing off and giving it a half hour or so I'm sure it would have bedded and died, but I wasn't sure where the bed would be or if I could find it. As it turned out the first bed was only about 50 yards from where I shot it, but it was in heavy undergrowth, and I doubt if I could have found it with no blood trail.

I like Frogg Toggs, very light, breathable and waterproof. I have had the same set for 8 years, seen a whole lot of rain and they have never let me down.

Pop-up blind. It is just cool to be in one of those when it is raining or snowing.

I've got a Sterns poncho that I carry down in the bottom of the backpack in case I'm out and it starts raining. If I'm going to go out and I KNOW it's going to rain, I've got a set of Frogg Toggs.

During bow season, none. If I get wet enough to want to go home, I don't need to be out there bow hunting anyway. Typically a hunting coat that is rated as water repellent is all I need. Rain cleanses the soul.

I don't hunt in rain. Sprinkle yes. If it rains when I am out I leave. Rain washes away the only link to the deer, blood trail.

I use a waterproof Remington jacket I had for years and when it rains hard all the water runs off the jacket and down the crack of my rear and keeps me alert on rainy days!!!!!

Rocky Silent Stalker hunting gear. Nicely warm, quiet and keeps me dry too. :)

Dont forget guys that another great item for the damp rainy weather is the tree unbrellia. I use them all the time as they help with limiting the dampness and will keep rain and snow off your scopes while on sit.

Far as I'm concerned they are one of the best hunting items out there that can be used any where.

Where is the best place to purchase the military goretex?
Seems to be a few different types out there and kind of confusing.
Any one care to elaborate on it?
Figure if its good enough for the military should keep the water off.
