Heading Out...

Post by IronNoggin » Mon Nov 19, 2012 12:26 am

It's Finally Time!! :D

Truck is packed. Gear gone over 77 times... LOL!
Truck Fueled and Serviced.
Bow waits by the door ever so patiently...

Moose, Muley and Whitetail tags in hand.
Local Intel is Very good for all! Sweet!

First boat off this Rock to the mainland in the am, and into the hills.

Likely ain't going to sleep much tonight, but gotta try...

Wish me Luck Folks, been 17 years since my last draw, and certainly Hoping to capitalize as I may well have to wait another 17 for the next one!

Best of Luck to all those still in The Game!

Catch Y'all on the flipside - somewhere around 2 weeks methinks...

Cheers,
Nog

Truck now re-packed for the return wander.
Moose was a damn tough hunt under difficult conditions, resulting in the decision to pull the pin and wander on to more fruitful pursuits (dammit!).

Happy my Buddy talked me into holding the muley effort for his zone, paid off with a rather handsome but strange-racked buck. Whitetail rut had ended after we connected on the mulies, saw almost 50 does sans dancing partners over a few days. So stalked and took a nice young dry doe for the steak end of things.

All in all a rather interesting run to BC's mainland...
ExoMax performed most excellent as did the Big John arrows.

Stories & pix after I wander back to the Hacienda...

Cheers,
Nog
