Great picture however that demonstrates that if anyone is considering or wondering if a headshot would be effective should think again.

Head shots are very effective . . .if excuted correctly. Unfortunately, for whatever the reason, this broadhead lacked enough energy to finish the job.

I finished off a spine shot buck via using a head shot from 12 yards once . . .and I can tell you, these crossbows will plow a broadhead through the head so fast, the deer's head doesn't even wobble . . .faster and easier than a hot knife in warm butter.

Take shots that you and your equipment are prepared to make. I've seen some guys that can't make a solid double lung from 10 yards.

I also have known guys that hunted quail successfully with a long bow, shooting them out of the air.

Hunt within your talent level.
