I was sawin the antlers out when i found a BH in his head right below the left antler base. What kind of person would use a Bow so low powered to hunt deer wid & then shoot them in the head! A low life scuz bag SOB is the type. Dang poor Buck was in sad shape. It were done last yr as the skull on inside show bone growth coverin the pt area!

Who would be dumb enough to attempt a head-shot on a deer with a bow? ...Just when I start to regain faith in humanity I see this sh*t...
Glad whoever it was didn't get the buck, but feel sorry for poor fella having to walk around with a broadhead stuck in his skull...

While I can certainly agree there are a lot of folks who lack in better judgement, that's a pretty strong assumption with no evidence other then a broadhead. It is very possible to have happened, as you suggested, but after watching tons of youtube bow and crossbow hunts, some freaky things have happened. The arrow could have gone through one deer to hit the one you now have while it was grazing.

I'm not trying to be argumentative, just making light of other possibilities, because you could very well be right!

That would be a low percentage shot for sure.
I have seen clean kills from the back of the skull just above the neck bones.
And no I would not take such a shot!!

im realy suprized he lived..looks like another 1/2 inch of penetration and he would have had massive brain hemorage.
i hate to beat the guy up who did it..he nailed the target..it just didnt work out so well for him or the deer.

I would have to agree, lets give the benefit of doubt to the reason behind the hit. I would guess it was a "rookie" with a bad case of "buck fever" who shot at the "horns".
It could have been an arrow deflection by brush and the deer could have had his head turned toward the shooter when it hit.
