My first ever fletch job

Post by UPSMAN »

Well here they are. I am sure they are a far cry from a Bigjohn product. Guess I will see how they fly tomorrow. If all goes well, I have 6 more that have never been shot that will have to be stripped and re-fletched. Image

Thanks Boo, I appreciate all the advise that you have given me. I hope they shoot as good as you and some of the other guys say they do.

Very nice job Upsman, Did you use the AZ.EZ Fletch bolt and if you did, did you have to use any spacers to get the blazers the right distance from the noc ? the reason i ask is because i have one, But i'm not going to refletch untill after season is over, Don't want to change anything at this time....

Dave :)

yes,I did use the EZ fletch bolt. I took the lumenoks off and just put the raw bolt in the fletcher. Doing it like that will give you a 1 1/4 in from end of blazer to end of shaft. Was going to leave lumenok on bolt but it was a pain in a$$ to get the bolt to go into the fletcher. Am going to shoot them after lunch. will report back with results.

According to Danny Miller, They are all lumenocs. When I ordered them, Danny was out of stock and he sent me some random ones that he said were laying around on his bench. He didn't even charge me for them. I called and told him to bill me for them but he wouldn't do it because he didn't have the exact ones I ordered. What a guy.
