more your arrow is small quicker you lost your speed
280 fps how far from the crossbow?
i am not shure if we can hit a bullzail at 100 yard like a tac-15
let me know what you think about that please
tac-15 is very eccurency because of the lengh of the arrow it keep is strengh so far!!
In todays environment, who in their right mind want to hunt with an overweight unergonomic crossbow like the tac-15 that looks like an assault Rifle???

The TAC-15 has an overall length of 42.5" with the butt-stock closed and 45.75" butt-stock fully extended.
The Equinox has an overall length of 38.4" (mine has an overall length of 39.5" with the 1" stock X-tender installed.
The Matrix 380 Xtra has an overall length of 35.6"

The TAC-15 is narrow at 17" axle to axle
My Equinox limbs tip to tip measure 36" un-cocked
The Matrix 380 Xtra limbs tip to tip measured should be 30" un-cocked since its marketed as 6" narrower than the Equinox.

The TAC-15 shoots 26.25" arrows
The Equinox shoots 20" arrows
The Matrix 380 Xtra shoots 18" arrows (My first gut feeling told me I didn't like them for being shorter, but after I found out in Excalibur's words they have "a heavier front insert increases front-of-center weight for unparalleled accuracy")

The TAC-15 weighs 8 to 8.9 lbs bare bow.
The Equinox weighs 6.4 lbs bare bow.
The Matrix 380 Xtra weighs 5.9 lbs bare bow.

Shorter arrows less accurate, no way! Its good that companies provides us all with choices, so I choose Excalibur for my crossbow company. Light, easy and super deadly at ethical distances (mine is 30 yards max) for big game hunting.

I have been hunting for over 33 years and I have yet to see a bulls-eyes on the sides of game animals. If you intend to shoot out to 100 yard bulls-eyes I assume its on man-made targets.
