double shoulder bow sling

Post by ruttinbuck »

Happy New Year!
I am toying with the idea of building a bow sling for my equinox. The idea being to come up with a sling that allows carrying the bow as one would a back pack over both shoulders. This would center the bow width behind you making it more narrow of a profile when trail blazing. Also would allow both hands free if needed for glassing moving obstructions etc.
Any input of known designs or ideas appreciated RB

I've thought about the same idea. I have a single sling and it I always worry about my Xbow coming off my shoulder when I'm walking, if I'm not holding it. With a double sling both hands would be free as you mentioned.

I want the same, so I found the Vero Vellini Double Rifle Sling. Image

I already use these slings in the single design on my rifles and they are awesome.

thx for the input gents
I like the heavy hauler idea, that basically is what I am looking for.The golf bag strap idea is worth looking into,I will follow up on it as well.I looked quickly and so far can't find the heavy hauler in Canada,no biggie just have to find an american store that will ship up here via USPS.
Again thx for the input and happy new year to all RB

Here is one that is both a backpack & a sling all in one.

Seen this on Michigan out of doors.
