I have been supportin Excal fer almost 15 yrs, jus wondered where you went after only 4 posts. Hopefully yer Matrix is holdin up well fer you. Yup i would like to purchase a Matrix 355 but it wouldn't be an upgrade! They don't make any model better than the older Vixens, faster yes better no! Its my nickel to spend kinda uppity fer a no pic member. Trashin bashin really i like this Forum, been here longer than you have owned an Excal.

Welcome skywalker. I am not a long time member on here and read a lot more than I post. I do find this an open and friendly forum and have learned a lot in little time as there is a great depth of experience on here and a willingness to share it. Doesn't matter to me who got the first M380. Hope you are enjoying it. When they make it out West it I will be just as satisfied as the first owner cause to me it will be new and exciting.

I've carried a Wolverine until now so that also dates my allegiance to Excal back to the 80's my friend. I am more of a shotgun/rifle guy, predator and game hunting primarily but urge to get a new crossbow came on and I think I did ok with the 380. Why would you look to a 355? Anyways, won't likely be on much until I put her to use next deer season... but I'll be around. Keep promoting and supporting others of this forum and the crossbow family of Excalibur.

Hey Skywalker, why do they call how did they call Lower Buckhorn "Lower" Buckhorn when it's north of Buckhorn Lake? For years I used to hang out around Emerald Isle Marina. Do you know that place?
BTW, don't worry about these guys at all. For the most part they are really good guys. Pretty soon you'll see us pick on Oneshotscott. It's his turn in the barrel! Have you given Boofest some thought?

I'm kinda' with Vixenmaster on the "upgrade" issue. I've got an Equinox and my next one will probably be the 175 lb Ibex. I like that the Matrix is shorter and more compact, but I can't justify that with the increase in poundage. To me, the 225 lb Equinox is overkill. Why would I want to go higher?
