Power Stroke ?

Just looking at the online 2013 catalog and the specs on the back page.

The power strokes of the Matrix models are much shorter.

Does a shorter power stroke have any negatives compared to a longer power stroke?

To me, its like throwing a baseball; the farther I wind up the more speed I generate. Or in case of the Matrix do the more powerful limbs make up for the shorter power stroke and all is good?
