Montec CS 100 grain
I had a guy at work tell me that the Montec CS is very field point accurate. Has anyone here had experience with them ?
I have a brand new pack of 150 grain Slick Tricks that I haven't even used yet but I love the thought of a one piece design.
I search the internet but cant find any good article reviews on them.

I have shot the Montec G5s in 100 grain for years. Very accurate. The CS is basically the same head with a different sharpening angle cause a lot of folks had problems resharpening the G5s.

Re: Montec CS 100 grain
See my bison hunt post, I just shot a bison with this head and it worked great. They fly great on a well setup arrow and performed great on a very tough animal. One went through a rib - bison rib - and showed absolutely no evidence that it was ever shot into anything. Even the point was not dinged at all. I think the "CS" is key as it stands for "carbon steel" and it means it is alot harder than the steel used on the regular montecs. That is why they can sharpen them more.

Aren't they the same thing or at least quite similar to Hellraisers?

Re: Montec CS 100 grain
They won't disappoint you. My setup is a heavy FOC (15% - 20%) and 2" blazer vanes. I also line up the blades with the fletches. Same POI as my FPs out to 50 yards. If they dont fly great at first, mark and try different vanes in the channel. If they still don't fly great, I would suspect the arrows. Good Luck! If you have trouble definately post it on here and some super knowledgeable folks will fix you right up.Lucky-Dog wrote:I cant watch the youtube clips because of issues with this new windows 8 I have.
