Vixen all the way !!!

Post by willhunting »

Hi

I sold my Equinox few months ago to buy another brand (Horton Fury) but did not like it so much. So I sold it.

Now I shoot with my daughter's crossbow (the Vixen) and like it very much!!!
It's by far the best overall crossbow I've(she) never had !!!! :D

Here's my daughter last fall with her or my :D crossbow

I regret selling my old Vixen (black mag-tip limbs on the old straight riser).

It killed every deer I ever shot with it (I did miss one due to operator error), was easy to cock by hand, was easy to change strings on (using the old hand method with the foot in the stirrup and body weight to flex the limbs), didn't eat servings quickly, and was super accurate.

Speed sells crossbows in today's market, but it can only go so far in replacing hunting skills. No need to worry about using the old model Vixen, just get a few yards closer to the deer and it will do it's job!

If I hadn't found such a great deal on my used Phoenix then I was looking to buy a used Vixen. I love them. Don't never get rid of it. Especially with those memories. I hope you keep her interested in hunting......even though you took her crossbow

My Exocet is cased up right now, so I took the wifes Ibex out hunting yesterday, it was such a pleasure to hold and shoot!
There is a lot of good to be said about the smaller poundage bows.

And I have to agree with the rest, that little lady has a look of ownership in her eyes. :D
Good work, Dad!
