Re: Storage tips for A Vortex
It seems to be mostly opinion, but I would say unstrung and relaxed away from excessive heat is the optimal way. With that said, you'll find many, including myself who leave their Xbow strung all year round. I like to take my Xbow out as much as I can to shoot at my target, so it's easier to leave it strung. I'm in my second year owning my Phoenix and with a recent string up grade, I now have it shooting just over 300 fps. It hasn't seem to hurt my Xbow.

I also don't unstring my Vortex I just hang it up on a rubber coated hook and don't worry about it until you get ready to shoot. But if I was going to take the string completely off if yours has the disapator pads make sure you take them off first so they don't get flattened when the limbs straighten back out once the string is off.capt hook wrote:what is the best way to store a Vortex crossbow ..this is the first one I ever owned ...Thank you ...Capt Hook
