Scope Choice

Post by Geodehunter »

I have 2 scopes here and was wondering what one you think I should use. Both are crossbow scopes. #1 is a Simmons 4x32 and #2 is a Truglo 4x32 with illumination. If you were in my shoes which one would you use? TIA

I'm not being a smart azz but use the one you like better. The one that has a better view at dawn and dusk is the one I would use for deer hunting.

Norm, I know your not trying to be a smart azz. I just wish I had the funds to get a Vari-Zone. But when you buy a used crossbow you have to use what you got.

I never was a fan of an illumination type scope. Last year I had a scope with red/green lit dots/crosshairs. I think it would have been hard to get my deer without the lit dots. (he came through just at quiting time) So long story short, I like the lit up dot/crosshair scope. :D

Personally not a Simmons fan. Have one on my black powder rifle. Don't know the other one. Just before Xmas, Walmart had Nikon 2-7*32 for about $130. Got one for my son's 22 mag and thought about getting one for my Excal.
