O/T Tears Fallin

Post by vixenmaster »

My Heart is so heavy n my cheeks are wet wid tears. We picked up our Gussy & Josey pie yesterday & came home. Went to feeder put corn out & fed me girls. Around 5 pm Gussy started wid bad shakin tremors & couldn't control her body movements. We called the Vet. we use & got instructions. It didn't work so we took her there last nite. He did what he could & we brought her home last nite. We jus got back from takin her again as her body temp has fallen durin the nite. Gussy still isn't respondin & he feels she has had a stroke n brain damage. Gussy is sedated in his place wid warmers wrapped around her & IV drips. Some maynot understand & thats ok, i jus needed to say this. Gussy is a special small child to me, i Love her deeply. She has never had to spend a nite outside. She has always slept on the queen size bed. We don't knowed if'en she will even pull thru this yet. Vet. said she will never be as before, i told him she isn't a worker but a child of mine so it doesn't matter. I will take care of her as long as she lives. If'en she passes there will be no more special little child fer me. I jus can't take the Heartbreak anymore :(

We know how you feel. Our old golden (Tucker) passed away 4 yrs ago. He was 12 years old been with us for all of my postings. From east to west. Iwent to work one day, and got a call from one of my daughters. That he was laying in the back rm. I drove home, the vet couldnt do anything for him. He did get up and had a hard time to walk for the next day. The girls found him after school. We buried him out back at our old house. The people that bought our home left up, the lil marker the girls put up.
I think what got him was when he got out with the lil terrier we had. They were gone for 3 days in -30c weather. They finally got found, he was sick from then. I stopped taking him out for 3 yrs before.
Our other golden and terrier went a lil nuts without him. The lil guy we gave to one of our daughters. Now we have the 5 yr and 2 yr goldens. But we miss him. He was one of those dogs that was his worth.

I wish I didn't know how you feel, but they're truly family members that are never grumpy, always happy to see us and don't ask for anything. My heart goes out to you and I'll send a prayer! :(

Really sorry to hear this, as you can see my buddy is my avatar, he's number 4 for me and its never gotten easier.

Mike
I know what you, and the mrs. are going through, My heart goe's out to you my friend, I will pray for Gussy, and keep my fingers crossed that all goes well, I "totaly understand that you think of them as your children, I have lost several of my children (Dogs) over the years, and it leaves an empty spot in your heart, And i totaly believe, that people that Love, and understand the kind of love, that they give us in return, are "Genuine" good people !!!!
Hope all goes well my Friend.

Sorry to hear the bad news Mike.
Hope Gussy pulls out of it.

Our Frisco is now a permanent house dog since his bout with tetanus. He still hasn't recovered 100%, but he's improving slowly. The vet said it could be 6 months before he's fully recovered. He is still a bit wobbly at times, and has a hard time eating some food. Thought there for a couple days he might not make it, and I know how you feel.
