Hug your loved ones, tell them you love them

Post by JT of PA »

.

Saturday, I was with my sister's family and while driving down a certain section of road she told me how Thursday on the way home from work she passed what had been a terrible accident.

Today I find out that terrible accident claimed a life and that life was someone I worked with for almost 3 years.

He left behind three children.

Those kids left home for school like any other day and came home to a life that will be forever changed.

His name was Victor Stimmel, he was 36, and he was a good man.

Whatever your beliefs please rememeber or pray for his family and especially his children.

It's a hard reminder that I need to tell and show my loved ones how special they are and what they mean to me.

I appreciate you all letting me share this.

Our sincerest condolences to the family.

I got my reality check last Sunday when my cousin (also my best friend) died suddenly of a massive heart attack, he was a year younger then me. His brother who has been away from the family, realized the hard way, life too short to stay away and he is making an effort to be around the family more.

I try to take little for granted and try to get along with everyone, always remembering being different, is why we are all so interesting, whether it suits us or not. You just never know when your number is up.

Sorry to hear of the huge loss this family will face. I try to remind myself of the time we have here and how quickly it can be cut short. Many times I find myself too busy at work to do the important things with the family. My signature line has served as a reminder to spend time with my kids, even when I don't have the "time"

This family is in my prayers. Poor kids...

I just got home from the funeral for my co-worker mentioned in the inital post.

Amazing to me how you know only a small slice of someone's life when you work with them.

The funeral service showed so much more to Victor than I ever knew. His life touched many people and he will be sorely missed.

I shared with a co-worker that I had posted this on my crossbow forum and he was incredulous until I explained that people here care.

Thank You from Victor's family for your thoughts and prayers and please accept a Thank You from me also.
