interesting title to this Thread

Not a Rant, just an Observation

RANT is to scold vehemently.
If you say that someone rants, you mean that they talk loudly or angrily, and exaggerate or say foolish things.

I think it is time to kill this thread as well.

Just an observation mind you.

David, just to make myself clear, I don't know why you feel I have a bone to pick with you. In any case I don't have any bone to pick with you or anyone else on this forum. I was just stating facts, not passing judgement, since I believe only God is fit to judge us.

However, I also do my research, and I think you must agree that you did use Facebook as part of you "research", as your post clearly states.

See: http://www.excaliburcrossbow.com/phpBB2 ... calcobrena

Here's your post to which I'm referring:

How would you react if someone joined a forum you belong to and said that gay marriage should be banned? I mean, you are gay, and married right?
Do you feel those people are right in their opposition? Or do you think that maybe, there is just a chance that we should live and let live? Simply not understanding something doesn't mean we should ban it from everyone else does it?

This is you, isn't it Ami?

Blame it on "cabin fever", but the quality of posts have gone "south"...... I think it's time this post is retired. It's posts such as these that remind me why I don't post as often as I once did.

Sigh. . . . cant we just all get along  I come here to have fun, to be entertained and in some cases to do the same, to learn and discuss, if this company has a problem they as a rule solve it, if the company starts to change its way of dealing with its SUPPORTERS, and remember these supporters keep this company in business, then we have a right to move elsewhere, and there is an elsewhere when it comes to VERY good recurve bows....
but why bother arguing amongst ourselves ?
1: if Excalibur change for the worse it looses customers.
2: if people argue on this form like this thread, what incentive does that give a potential new owner and forum member to join?
3: the way I see it, if my bow fails I would call or email Excalibur and see how they respond before publicly slaying them, I have had a issue with my 380 and I sent an email, the next day I have item replaced in the post free of charge and I live in New Zealand!

I am super happy with this forum, meeting and talking with some very nice people and most here would bend over backwards to help us.
this is rare and a gem in the crap storm of the cyber world.

just saying.

Matthew,

I appreciate this forum and the kindness exhibited, shown, displayed and freely given. This forum, for the most part, is truly a rare gem.

David . . .I did not see that thread before it was deleted.

However, I still think the company should be given first look at a product failure and or quality issue.

There is a difference between making an experience/product better and fixing a problem.

You bring up a good point here and it's a good thread.

I have had major issues with some items and never went public with it because the company made improvements to the product and sent me replacements . . .that happened with my beloved Stricknines. I saw no reason to take that public other than to tell people not to buy the older product when asked my opinion.

For the most part, over the years, your posts have been spot on and very helpful. . .you have a way of motivating people, one way or another. 8)

The original complaint thread about the Matrix would have gone nowhere had Excalibur addressed it early. They chose to let it run it's course and then just deleted it. The original poster is a well experienced user of Excalibur products. He posted a warning for other users or at least that's the way I took it. We should have looked our bows over to see if we also had an issue, instead the forum beat him up for it. If other concerned members had an issue with the original post then they too should have handled it privately by PM. If you want to blame the OP then also take a look in a mirror. As far as an anti posting on here they have no business here whatsoever as this is a hunting and hunting weapons forum. On the internet, the anti's have plenty of room to spew their venom and it should not be allowed here.

This just my view and not up for debate.

Only time will tell on the issue with Norm's bow. I'm sure the outcome of the trigger good or bad will be address by someone from Excal. and not Norm, on this fine forum.

Thank-you guys,

In the thread that got pulled I started my post by "Let me explain". My explanation was for information purposes only to the forum membership.

I want you to know that I am fully aware on what to do if I have a problem with my Excalibur if a problem may arise.

At no time during my posts did I complain of a problem or bash Excalibur. I just explained what happens when your don't have your cocking aid when using a M380 and secondly I explained that the latches failed to engage when I was doing my part properly.

After my arrival home and 80 shots later testing different arrows the latches latched perfectly. I was testing the M380 to see if the latch problem occured again.

Excalibur should have the trigger for evaluation early next week.
