Looks like those deer are hungry and ready to eat.

I just hung a new 30 gal feeder with a new timer that runs off AA batteries. I should have some deer pics by next week, the turkeys came running as soon as I turned it on the first time. They'll eat the corn as soon as the feeder goes off like a bunch of hogs.

That's a bunch of tick-toters ya' got there Mike! Meat on the hoof! :D

Pulled the cards from my cameras over the weekend. Don't have as many as you, but I did find 3 that I hadn't seen before. I'm hoping 1 of the 3 sticks around for this fall.

Yeah, I know, the month is wrong on the camera.

Man, I've been busting my butt in the woods for the past month looking for sheds! :x You'd think they were gold by the way they're hanging onto them! Every picture I've gotten of bucks, they've still got both of their antlers.

Unless i take to messin up on my shootin while huntin i should keep a freezer full. I saw 70 + deer during huntin season & i stopped huntin 20 days prior to its closin. I let at least 25 deer walk i could have hung on the game pole. Think i hunted 54 days mostly mornings i did hunt 3 evenings but i don't like shootin one as darkness comes on. Best find yer shot deer here within couple hrs or the Yotes will eat good that nite!

It is the same way here VM. I have about given up on evening hunting the past few years. I shot a doe one morning and waited about an hour to go get her. She had only run about 100 yards just out of sight from me. She was partailly eaten when I got to her. I killed a yote at the same spot a few days later.

Must be nice!

I saw a grand total of 12 deer last year, 3 of which I shot. I finished the season with an unused doe tag because I didn't want to take any more does off the property. From what I saw on the cameras, I figured that taking 2 does wouldn't hurt, but I didn't want to take a 3rd one. From what I've been seeing so far on the cameras over the winter, it's looking about the same. :?

Thar be no doubt i have a large deer population in my area. I see groups of Doe's & fawns that are 10 to 16 in a bunch. No agri. within 7-8 miles of me, so these deer live off what they find in the woods. Thar really e too many of them fer the food supply. I take 2 or 3 Doe's/fawns every yr. This past yr i shot a 5 pt i thought had matchin antlers 6 pt, wrong. I killed him twas good eatin but i am trying to let my smaller Bucks live & take more Doe's. This yr i will take mature Bucks & more Doe's in early part of season

If it was me, I would take the mature bucks late in the season and does early.
This way the mature bucks you take will have already bred the herd.
Also this way you will not be shooting does that are already bred.
