Finally home from hospital

Post by Raymond »

Hello Folks,

After a week in the hospital I am very glad to be home. Thanks to all of you for your thoughts, kind words and prayers. And thanks to Terry for letting you all know I was in the hospital. The wife is not familiar with how the forum works even though I explained it to her. So she took it upon herself and searched through my address book and recognized Terry's email address and was able to contact him that way. She had planned to email Terry with more information but she was kept busy with our daughter who got sick a very bad case of the flu and myself in hospital and it was a hard time on my dear wife.

I had a problem with Ulcerative Colitis, and it has been flaring up and out of control for some time and I was losing blood and other nasty things were happening and they couldn't get it settled down with medications I was taking at home. Last Tuesday I had a doctors appointment and the doctor recommended that I allow her to admit me into the hospital immediately so there I was placed in the hospital. I must say though that after a blood transfusion and other treatments I do feel a lot better today. I was told relax for a few more days before I begin to mess around home. I sure am glad to be home, it was getting pretty boring the last couple of days in the hospital.

Thanks to you all,
Raymond

Thanks, it is nice to be home. I have to go back in a couple of months for a scope and a few more tests and exams but they wanted to let me relax and settle down inside before they do anymore. if and when it acts up it will be done sooner.

What do you mean about a new string?
Thanks,
Raymond

Godspeed Raymond. Glad to hear you are back home. My wife had an episode with that stuff a couple years ago and she was miserable with it. She did not even want me to come to the hospital because she felt so badly :(
Get well soon, Joe

I'm new here Raymond, but I'm very happy for your recovery, and to be home with your family.
You are a very well liked gentleman on here, as I see by the outpouring.
I lost my father two weeks ago and my mom ten months ago, so I have found some comfort in this forum.
The people are very gracious and kind, and for the most part very helpful and honest.

I wish you the best of health and happiness wih the family.

Warm Regards,

John
